shy tracks in premiere pro

Hello all,

I 've upgraded from 6.5 to Pro which I love using. However, I can't seem to find the function that allows me to "hide shy track" or make it so that tracks I'm not using at the moment don't show up on the timeline. The only options I see are for deleting tracks or for clickig on the eye tool which just means I don't see video/hear audio from the track, but they're still in the timeline taking up space. Can anyone help?
