Can someone please tell me where in XP I can setup when logging out it automatically shutts down without prompting me to press the It is now safe to power off your machine.

That would be a setting in you system BIOS under Power Management<more than likely>. There should be an option for PwrButton<or something like that>. You want to make sure that is set to Instant Off<or whatever the option listed in there has>. Enkrypted

Actually, if I recall correctly. There should be a setting under control panel/power management or something like that. I don't have an XP system in front of me at the moment. ====================================

In the Control Panel -> Power Options -> Advanced -> Enable APM power management

In the Registry, change all instances of PowerDownAfterShutdown to 1.
