hello

what is please the command of shutdown

"shutdown -......"

thanks

shutdown -y -g grace_period -i init_level message

The -y option answers the confirmation question, to allow the command to run without further user input.
-g grace_period is 60 sec by default
-i init_level is single user by default
message is a bit of text to tell the users what is happening or why.

Steve

There are two versions of shutdown:
1. /usr/sbin/shutdown which uses the syntax shown by harris79
2. /usr/ocb/shutdown which uses shutdown -h now

Sometimes (because of the shell you are in mostly) you may find the syntax you
normally use won't work so you can try the other way.
