Shutdown doesn't work :(

Hello,

I have server with Windows 2000 Server. After I applied all updates server doesn't want to shutdown. At the end I can see only black screen with blinking cursor and, after that, only way how I can shutdown server is to press button or shutdown electricity. Any idea what can be a problem or what I can do to change this ?

Hi,

One of the most obvious things that stops machines from shutting down is driver issues, try reinstalling your grafix card , sound card etc and see if this helps

also virus checker--make sure its not scanning floppy on shutdown-check settings
