I have a database that is approximately 5GB; however, the the log space has been increased to about 8GB. I am in the process of upgrading the database from 12 to 15. I want to re-create the database with a reasonable size log segment, but when I recover, I can't seem to figure out how to reduce the log size from 9GB to a reasonable size without going to the trouble of creating a blank database and re-creating all the objects from scratch and migrating the data.

Sybase doesn't seem to have an answer - does anyone here have any idea how to shrink a transaction log?

Thanks,
