Shrinking the size of a Database Device.

Can this be done in MSSQL 6.5 ? I am a novice in MSSQL and we have a DB whose device is 1.5 gig and we need to decrease it's size. I found no way to do it from Enterprise Mgr. Does anyone have a work around ?
