Client attempted to change network configuration on the fly from dedicated to shared channel connectivity to the MVS host due to constraints on the hardware equipment. Went from 4 DED channels to 2 shared channels to 4 connections on the fly expecting it to work, but in my mind by definition requires an IO Gen configuration change on the MVS side to make those channels SHR Shared. This would be a new configuration, and I'm looking for confirmation as well as documentation on proper configuration. Can someone advise high level at least on validity?
