ShowWindow(SW_HIDE) for a console app

How can I minimize a console app
or even better send it to the task bar or system tray.

I would also like to use the SetTimer function provided by CWnd as well.

ie there is no without CWnd or CWindow right?

If you don't need console to be shown, I don't undersatnd why do you create console application? Create just Win32 application...
