I have written a report with a formula that counts the Amount field and resets when it hits a certain number. My problem is I need to have this certain number print with each amount except on the last record in the group (which would print the remainder). To clarify: assuming this "certain number" that resets the count is 155, and the count for the last record is what the count got to.

I have a reset formula in the group header and an increment formula (the count) in the details section. I am considering writing a formula that would replace the increment formula, and if I can get the right code I would have it print that certain number with each Amount record and print the remainder on the last record.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense...I got a deadline and am not very knowledgeable about writing code.

Sounds like you should use Running Totals. They provide an easy mechanism for specifying when the total (or count) should be reset.

If the reset logic is more complex than what a Runnning Total can handle, you would need to use Variables.
