I know there is a way to do this but I cannot seem to locate it in any of the books I have here at work.

I want to print the page footer only if a group footer prints on the page. How do I do this.

Would it work to simply put some code behind the report in the page footer section that, first makes all the fields in it invisible, then follow it immediately with some IF stmts that tests an obvious field in the report's group gooter section. If the "IF" stmt is true, make the page footer section fields visible, if not, then make them invisible again.

I just tried this on a very simple quick report with a group footer and a field on the report's page footer section and it seemed to work. It might give you a place to start. Good Luck.

Thanks. That works. However, what I am attempting to do is this: if the group footer does not appear on any given page, ie there are more detail lines than can fit on one page, then do not show a page footer. I am still having trouble accomplishing this.
