I've added 2 new routers to our nnm, but for some strange reason, I'm only getting to see the lan0 interface...
snmp properties are fine, I can do a snmpwalk and get all the interfaces...

Also, when I select the node, and click "Configuration -> 'Network COnfiguration' -> Interface: Properties", I can see all interfaces...

How can I let HP Openview 'detect' the other interfaces and show them in the node ?

Hi there peterve, guess that the routers don't have routes "back" to your management server, can you "ping" (icmp requests)the other interfaces on the routers, other than lan0 from your management server?
Guess not...your router admins should add you management segment to their routing protocol tables, or just configure the routes back statically.

Hope this helps,

I can ping all of the interfaces... (I've added all the routes)

Can I trigger something to reveal the interfaces ? --------------------------------------------------------------------

Sure, you can start a demand poll on the node (from VPO or NNM, should use NNM thus...), which is going to use icmp and snmp for discovery purposes, it is going get the routing table for that node from a snmp get and continue to discover from there through icmp+snmp.

Now, it will probably find a few segments from this particular node, make sure those segments are shown as "managed", so NNM can discover beyond those interfaces too.

Please let me know how it goes, regards,

hmmm... the nmdemandpoll (both from a Dos window, and from NNM) connects fine, but doesn't add anything to the router symbol... only lan0 is visible.
Strange thing is : when I do a interfaces properties on the router, I can see all the interfaces...
