I have a Cross Tab showing a Count for each month.

Unfortunately, my months are listed as :

Jan Feb May Jul Aug Sep
5 9 3 5 1 5

Checking the data I see that March and April have a count of zero and that is why they are not displaying.

In the Cross-Tab Expert on the Customize Style tab I do not have a tick in the box for Suppress Empty Columns or Rows... so why is it Suppressing my columns ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Do they have a count of zero or is there no data in those months?

The Cross-Tab Total row is a Count of Incidents where a condition is met.

So I am guessing it is a Count of zero rather than no data.

The Cross-Tab Expert shows :

Rows box : blank (only interested in a total count of ocurrences)

Columns box : @Available (see * below)
Reported Date (set to display by month)

Summarized Fields : Count of Incident-Number

* @Available is a function returning a "Yes" or "No". Group Options are set to 'in specified order' which discards all results that are not "Yes".

So I think it is a Count of zero but I am not certain the Cross-Tab holds it as anything other than a 'null' because I have discarded all the 'No' ocurrences.

Does that make sense ?

I'm not really sure but I think by discarding the No values when all you have is "No" values in a time period the time period doesn't exist so it doesn't show. You may want to try to set a value of 0 for No and 1 for Yes and do a sum instead of a count but don't suppress the 0's like you were suppressing the No's.

Brilliant - I like a bit of lateral thunking :)

Simple and effective.

Thank you Tey
