I want to display LastName and FirstName from a query or table, in a combo box on a form. I want them to show up as LastName, FirstName. I have seen something somewhere about how to do this in the RowSource for the Combo box. For the life of me, I can not remember where I saw it or how to do it. Also there was something in the properties to make the both columns show up in the combo box, if you were wanting more than one column to show up.

Thanks,
Don

Hello Don!
Open up a new query please! Base the query off of the table with your FN and LN fields.

In the first row (it says "field:") of the "QBE" grid type something like this:

TheName : [LastName] & ", " & [FirstName]

Save this query and use it as the basis of your combo's Row Source.

That's it!
Oh, if you would like to sort by the last name, add the last name field to the next column, chose Sort: (whichever
way you prefer), and if you don't care to see it, uncheck the "show" check box.:)
