Hello,

I have a form which have ShowTips property set to .T.
If I put a grid on the form and I set grid's ToolTipText property to something it works as I expected, but if I try to set this property to a column, header or control it didn't work.
Do you have any idea how to solve this issues?

Thank's a lot!
Eugen

Hi

It seems to work for me it I set the ToolTipsText property for the column instance - I tried the control and that didn't work - but the column showed what I expected.

Good Luck

There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

I'm trying to cut down on the use of shrieks (exclamation marks), I'm told they are !good for you.

An interesting thing happened while I was looking at this, with ShowTips set on for the form, should the text entry
in the grid be longer than the width of the grid - the tool tip for that cell presents the full contents of the field.

That was a BIG DEAL new feature in one release of VFP. [bigsmile]

Really, I didn't know, and it's barely mentioned in the help text - only under the _ToolTipTimeOut so far as I can see.

Marketing had their failures through the years. One of the BIG DEAL features of VFP6 was ActiveDoc, which was removed from the product (for VFP7) after being the cause of the ONLY security alert ever issued for VFP. [sadeyes]
