show time in a movie

Hi, im making a movie in director, i want to publish in a web page.. its an animation.. and i need to show its duration.. i need a field where the time as the movie is playing, like You see it before compiling it.. does anybody know how to do it??
i tried to make a function, but then i have to paste the code on every frame each second.. and my animation last 5 minutes or so... and im sure there must be a better way.

If your movie is actually a video, you will be able to show the movie duration along with the current playhead position. I think the same can be achieved even if you are using flash animation, not sure though.
Some more deatils would help.
