I'm wondering if Crystal Reports v9 can display a text label when previewing a report, but hide the text label when actually printing the report? (Can this be done for any object?)

I've tried using WhilePrintingRecords unsuccessfully. It seems as if Preview is truly the paperless version of printing, and therefore, can't make something display on screen only and not on paper.

Thanks in advance,
Peter

If you do an experimental report showing all of the fonts available in Crystal, you might find one that will show on the screen, but appear as boxes (unprintable) on the printer. Does this help? Note that printing can vary between printers.

Otherwise, give the report a parameter, allowing you to switch between showing a field and not showing it. Or use Save As to create two versions for different usage.
