Show SQL Query becomes 'garbled' in window

I am in the process of modifying a Report written in Crystal.....I believe it was written in version 6. I have version 8.5 Pro. I made a simple change to the 'where' clause to limit the data in the report to a specific 'status' (ie; In Progress). I refresh the report and it works fine....everything that shows up on the report is indeed 'In Progress'. Now, I want to go in and make some additional modifications to the SQL to further the 'filter' the data and the SQL appears all 'garbled' or mixed up in the window. Like some of the code is written on top of the others. I can highlight the code, copy and paste, into a 'word' document and I can read it just fine?! What the heck is up with the Show SQL Query window?? Is this some quirk that shows up between Crystal Versions??
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I haven't seen that exact same scenario, but I've seen that manually edited SQL does change the formatting.

What happens if you copy and paste it on top of itself?

I'd also try saving the report in version 8.5 (or 7) prior to manually editing the SQL and see if that straightens it out.

I tried copying and pasting into the query.....same result.
It's just plain weird!! I got it back to it's original code....and modified just one line.....same thing again!
I am perplexed.

Sounds like a Window wrap issue, the SQL does change when it's modified, but there shoulodn't be overlapping lines...

I guess it isn't a report stopper since it works, it's just funny looking.
