I want write a report like following format:

the toltal number of application: 20 (this number from query 1)
the total number of user: 100 (this number from query2)

Here should have a page break

below will be the report itself (from query3)

Is this possible using access report? Thanks

Use the Dlookup() function in the control source of your totals textboxes.

Thanks lupins46, does the function accept parameters?

Yes, I tried this function in my report, the problem is that I want the query used in the dblookup() accept a parameter from the value of a textbox on the report, say, department name, for example,

I want the query in dlookup like:

'select count(*) from staff where dept='& department.value

I got error for this, what's wrong with it?
