I am running Windows 2000 Server with Exchange 5.5. In Outlook 2000, I have an exchange mailbox but I also POP an internet mail account in the same outlook profile.

Even though an email is popped for the internet account and has the internet address, when I reply, the return address is now my exchange mailbox's address.

I understand why this is. I have also read the microsoft support pages and was confused.

Question:

1. If I manually choose it in the FROM field, how do I setup exchnage so I can choose to use my internet address as the return address?

2. Is there any to have this done automatically depending on the address?

Thanks.

Howard

1. In order to use the 'From' field, you need to have 'Send on behalf of' permissions for the address you want to use. You can't do this with an address in your personal address book, only with one that is on the server.

2. You cannot make this a default setting.
