Is there anyway to show the report header on each page? I have to show the grand total in the report header rather than the footer. However, I need the header to show up on each page because this report is exported to a pdf and it looks strange without the header. The totals only need to show once on the first page and not print on each consecutive page.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The report header already shows on every page. Perhaps you are referring to the group header?

No, it's the report header. It only shows on the first page and I need it to show on each page (at the top). I have a grand total in the report header and I only want it to show one time (on the first page) but I need the report headings to show on each page.

I don't understand. If the totals only need to show once on the first page and not print on each consecutive page, then why do you need to show the report header on each page?

Can you put it in the page header?

The report is exported to a pdf file for printing. It looks very strange without the headings on each page. The grand total doesn't work correctly unless it's in the RH. Originally, the headings were in the PH. I tried putting the totals in the PH but it didn't work correctly.

Create a formula which is true for all records, as in:

{table.ID} > 0

Then insert a group on this and format it to "Repeat Group Header on Each Page." Make this group your highest order group by going to the change group expert and using the direction key to move it to the topmost position. You can now insert a summary on this group which will actually return the grand total, since the group contains all records. Drag the result to the group header, and then format the summary field with a conditional suppression formula (format field->common->suppress->x+2):

Not OnFirstRecord

I would move all you headings that you need on each page from the report header into the page header. Leave the Grand Total in the Report Header.

To make it the Grand Total look seamless, you will want to set the Report Header to "Underlay following sections".
Open the Section Expert.
Highlight Report Header on the left side of dialog box.
Select property "Underlay Following Sections"

You may need to adjust the position of the actual grand total field in the report header so that it is properly positioned when they underlay on the first page. All subsequent pages will show the page headings, but not the GT field.
