I need to show powerpoint slides on a television screen. I am running the presentation on a Dell laptop. How do I get it to the tv?

Thanks Susan M. Wagner

A couple of ways:
Have a TV set already and purchase a Converter box $200 -$300 Resolution is usually 640x480

Or
Spend big bucks $3500-$10,000 on a Video Projector, resolution is higher the more it cost. up to 1024x768. Video Projector requires a Screen of some sort usually provided free at the Auditorium. Plus the Video Projector can be seen from real far away.

Cables are provided with each

If you have a current dell laptop you most likely have an S-video hookup on the back. Make sure your TV has S-video capabilities and then just run the cables. Your powerpoint presentation should show with no problems once you use the S-video cables to hook your laptop to your TV.

I do this quite regularly for company presentations and they work out great. The best TV for using is a Sony but basically anything with S-video capabilities will work.
