Does anyone know how to show just part of the group footer (one field) when you drill down? From an earlier post I discovered how to suppress the entire GF by using this formula in the suppress box ({table.group1field} <> next({table.group1field}). This is very helpful for supressing the entire line however, for the report I'm working on they want to see one of the fields. Any help is appreiciated.

Thanks,

Split the group footer into an 'a' and 'b' section. Put the one field in the 'b' section. Have all the other fields in the 'a' section, set it to underlay following sections, and put your suppression as above
({table.group1field} <> next({table.group1field})
on just that section of the footer.

You should then see 'a' and 'b' overlapping in the main report, but only 'b' when you hit the drilldown.

If your original group footer was wider than one line, you may end up with a 'c' section to support any fields that were below the oddball field you want to show in 'b', treated the same way 'a' is. Clear? lol

Or you can use 'Report Parts' - Not sure just a thought.
