Hi,

Is it possible to show the originating CLID rather than the Main Office Number on calls (Call forward all calls) forwarded on a BCM 50. The trunk type is basic ISDN (BRI). At the moment only the office number (BRI number) is shown on calls forwarded to a mobile. However the originating CLID is what is required.
Any help on this is appreciated.

Paul

I don't believe that is possible on the BCM platform as it sits today.

It can be done in the UK market.

Your telephone supplier(BT) needs to set the BRI lines for
1. point to point working.
2. apply customer controlled call forwarding(chargable)

Bcm needs to allow call forwarding.
1. set allow redirect for the extension.(capabilites)
2. set network call diversion(etsi)Private settings.
3. forward the call Feature 4- 9- number -hold

Now make a call in and watch the BCM monitor.
You should see the call arriving the when its forwarded the line drops out because the local telephone exchange is now transfering the call.
You should now see the calling number.

I think it's called release link trunking here. And yes, it's something the phone company has to provide.

Thanks for this information I will try this once I get back to the site. I am wondering if it will be different for Ireland compaired to the UK. I have asked Eircom (Carrier) to change from Point to multipoint to Point to Point. I will double check the sets capabilities.
But I'm not sure if customer controlled call forwarding is an option here but I'll check it out. Thanks again and I'll let you know what happens.

According to our carrier (Eircom) it is not possible to send any number out on the leased ISDN line other than that of the DDI numbers associated with the line. I suppose it makes sense. How can you send out anything else???

Paul

In the UK BT lines this is possible .

I use it all the time because the customers wants the number of the person calling to show up on ther mobiles.

But its done exactly as stated in my post to you .

Try to explain to Eircom that this is what you want.
