Is there a way to setup Outlook Express so when I go to the Inbox, I will only see my email?

I tried creating a new rule so that for new mail, I will only get my own, but what do I do about the mail already in my inbox? I see the whole family's email and there's way too many. Same for other family members--they see it all!

Please help!!

Cheryl

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't see anything there to help me set up so that I only see emails addressed to me.

I don't want to delete anyone else's emails in order to get them out of my "view", I just don't want to see them.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think I've resolved the problem by creating another rule to move emails to a different folder (so only my emails are in the inbox). Hopefully I can set up a similar rule for each family member.

Using Identities allows each member to access only their account. No rules are needed.

You could also set up individual user desktops for each family member and each member would have access only to their own OE accounts.

[cheers] & all the best.

I have only one user setup for the desktop. Then there are three different email addresses set up (one for each family member). If I just switch identities back and forth, I still see everyone's emails instead of just the identity I switched to.

It sounds like all three identities are accessing the same set of files where the messages are stored.

Each Identity should have only the corresponding email account set up within it.

[cheers] & all the best.

I'm having similar problem with Outlook 2003...

I have two email accounts (1 for me, 1 for wife). First, I created 2 profiles - 1 for me, 1 for wife. And in each profile I set up the respective account. Everything works great accept all sent and received emails end up in both profile's folders. I don't want my sent items in her Sent folder, etc.

Do I need to create a new Data File, and then point one of the profiles to that? There's nothing in the help files about how to keep 2 profiles separate.

Thanks for any help!!!

Yes, with Outlook 2003, you would use 2 different data files - 1 for each profile.
