when i insert a graphic into a frontpage document that is linked from another web page, the graphic always shows up as an X, as if the graphic is not their, the graphic shows up in preview mode and when published, but not in normal mode, any one know how to change this???

Start with checking the source directory for the graphic. Front Page has a bit of an annoyance (especially if you cut and paste things with links in it)--sometimes it will show the link as being to your hard drive. If it is showing it linked to your c drive, go ahead and click on the picture name again to relink it properly.

Linda Adams
Garridon@aol.com
<a href= Adams Online
I'm a professional writer, published internationally.
