I am using Dreamweaver4 to create a newsletter. The Table of Contents appears in a table on the left side of the page. I have been trying to arrange it so that when the mouse comes over an item in the TOC a layer appears with an expansion of the very short TOC entry. For example a TOC item might read "Mr. Smith's Article" and the layer would read "This is an article which Mr. Smith wrote about his trip to Antarctica in February". When the mouse leaves the TOC item, the layer disappears.

I have been successful in making this happen for about half of the 16 items in the TOC, but not for the others. The source code is exactly the same for each, but I only get results from some of the attempts.

What could I possibly be doing wrong?

Hi

Have you used the DW show/hide layer behaviour for each one or written the code by hand?

I let DW do the coding for my show-hide layers but also checked them to see if there were any differences between those that worked and those that did not. I could find no differences.
