show execution plan not working in SQL Analyzer

I don't have administrative rights to the SQL Server (2005 version) to allow us to Show Execution Plan. We get the error message " SHOWPLAN permission denied in database 'name' ".

What do I request for rights to the DBAs? They don't seem to understand our dilema, which leaves us with no option to use the 'SHOW EXECUTION PLAN' when running our queries.

Every time you need to check Execution plan of some query SEND that query to your DBA and ask him/her to run it and then send execution plan back to you. They very soon will give you rights
