Good morning all,

I need the proper Amo command to see the FULL set up of a desk phone.

For example:

In Openscape Assistant , in the BASIC 3 window I can see the PUBLIC NUMBER entry that was assigned to a phone.

When I run dis-sbcsu:xxxx; it does not show the Public Number entry.

I am trying to find an Amo that will show me the COMPLETE set up of any phone.

Is there such a thing or would I have to go to different commands to get different information?
If so, what Amo will show me the PUBLIC NUMBER entry for any given station?

Thanks

There is no AMO that will show you the complete info all in one place - there are probably 10 of them. DIS-SBCSU (or SCSU for analog) will show you most of the connection and interface related things, DIS-SDAT will show you some of the feature settings and classmarks, DIS-ZIEL will show you some of the call forwarding and button programming, DIS-KCSU will show you stuff related to line key programming and preferences, and I'm sure there are several more that I'm forgetting.... DIS-PERSI will show you the name on the phone and a few other things.

Thanks donb01,

I will have to note what is being searched and what AMO will show it.

Thank you again.

I appreciate all of the help and please be patient.
We are a hospital site that is trying to learn this new (to us) HiPath 4000 system without our Management providing Basic Training.
Now I heard that UNIFY will not hold training classes in the US, it's very slim my Management is going to send our team to Germany for training.

Once again, I appreciate all of the help that has been given to me.

I have a back ground of programming and this allows me to pick up quickly on the advice that is given to me here.

Have a blessed day today.

Eric

I'm in a hospital with a few associated clinics, so I know what you mean about "cheap". Everyone thinks hospitals make money hand over fist, but that's not true! However, I have been working in the same place for 25 years and I know how it rolls - every chunk of training stuff I've ever got has been secretly buried into the cost of the whole system - like for voicemail, you have the quote and then there are like 3 levels of detail under it that you have to open up and no one really cares so you bury that in one of the groups and on the front page there is just a line item for "voicemail" with the cost. I buried $30K for system training in the upgrade we did in 2014 and then by the time I had time to start the training the cost had gone up, and I went to my boss and told him we needed money for the travel and lodging and he said no. Then I said "I told you not to pay that last invoice yet" (which he did anyway) - the 30K for the training was in there and they weren't going to refund the money so they had to cough up the money for the travel and lodging... After a while you get to know the wallet only opens once, so you grab what you can! Anyway - those online classes will definitely get you going with basic Admin, and it you're doing anything really complicated you will probably need to bring in a tech anyway. There is also an online course (New Upgrade Concept - NUC) that will walk you through the whole process of upgrading your system to a new version, but until you've done it a couple of times it's pretty scary, and even after you've done it a few times you hold on to your notes for dear life!! Hotfixes aren't terribly difficult though, but you still need a "partner"/vendor to provide them to you and I believe you need to have a valid "software assurance" contract at the least. In the classes I took they basically handed us a thumb drive with the whole system install image on it and we had to build the whole system from the ground up - some of that stuff is pretty deep!

By default you wouldn't expect the Public Number to be configured (in SDAT). 4K does not need it, it will just send the normal extn number. So SDAT pubnum is only needed when you want to do something a bit different. Also, correct LDAT config is needed for pubnum to be sent to line on CO trunks.

What you could do is make a REGEN of the whole node, and then search for the extn number in the regen. Post any lines which have that extn number listed, and I'm sure people will be happy to help in telling you what it means. If you're not familiar with sta-regen you can start the backup under Assistant/Configuration Management/Openscape Hipath Inventory Management. Location of that may change depending on your s/ware version.
