I have a partner ACS8 with 6 port partner messaging. The auto attendant answers every call then transfers it to station 10. I have assigned station 10 as the default station so I know why this is happening, but I was wondering if I could change it to where the incoming calls just ring the stations unless station 10 puts the system in night mode. Once in night mode I will have the auto attendant handle the calls and route them to the correct mailboxes based on the caller input.

How did you program this as the default station? Its automatically the Call Answer Service operator.

As far as the night ringing:
#507 change to night only
The Auto Attendant will only answer in night mode.

If you use the gui you can set a default station operator. Thanks i will try 507 and see if that gets me what I want.

Are you sure it's the Auto Attendant that is answering, with your recorded message, and not the default "Your call is being transferred to the Operator", which is caused by not having all the voice mail ports assigned to Hunt Group 7?

tommy you may be right because that sounds like the issue. If you have a 509 processer module and a partner messaging module which ports? I thought it would be starting at 19 but I swear it gave me an error when I tried to add port 19 to hunt group 7 and then i read somewhere else it would be the last ports.

Partner Messaging uses the 1st ports on the card, and if it is in the 1st slot, (with the 509 ACS in the center slot), the extensions DO start at 19. What kind of error did it give you? #505-7-19-1, #505-7-20-1, etc.

You can also just press Intercom, and call 19, 20, 21, 22, etc. and see which ports answer. Then put them in the hunt group.
