taking another run at this now that the wap54gx has been out a while.
i currently have a SOHO office setup as follows:
wap54gv1 - ap
wap54gv2 - bridge
wap54gv2 - repeater
all of these have the hga7t antennae installed, all are running 3.04 firmware, wpa psk, g-only, and i'm using a mix of wpc54 & wpc54gs cards on Dell laptops (utilizing linksys drivers & controls not the windows crap).
the short version is, connections are spotty at best.
i have been waffling on upgrading to the wap54gx since not many people here have used it, and sounded like it was only marginally better than what i have now?
the main reason i am worried is that i have a laptop that is approx 2000' away from the AP in a dense area (with other AP's in adjoining buildings) that is currently connected to the bridge unit, and i can't do the same thing with either a wap54gx or wrt54gx.
what do you all think?
