I have a zipped file on my computer but it will not let me right click on, or even access it while PC-cillin is running, also it refuses to complete a scan on the file. It just keeps going and going. Is it a bad idea to install this progam while i have disabled PC-Cillin?
Thanks for any replies. JBOMB

Is it just a .zip file or a self-extracting ?
Self-extracting exe's can be handled by some bad guys to install some crap in your system (as some ripped applications got on p2p networks will do).

You should use winrar (get a free evaluation copy of it). It allows you to unpack the contents of a self-extracting without executing the exe's proper code.

If it's a zip or another 'dead' archive file type, you will get no problem. Scan the extracted files instead !!!!

Hope it helps.
