Should I buy a more expensive modem for telephony?

I have a one computer home office with one telephone. I read that in order to link my caller Id with outlook 03 I need a tpx, tapi software ,voice modem and card. after doing a bunch of research I came across way2call.com modems. it is 350$, but I'm told that I won't need a telephony card or a pbx system. Is this true, or should I use a master blaster like a bunch of people on here have said. What would my sound quality be like, can anyone think of any better options for me? I'm not a smart man and would be greatful to anyone who replies.
