shortlist for solving the most common user questions/problems

As a back-up Notes Admin I am looking for some sort of knowledge database on the most common user questions and troubles to act like sort of an helpdesk-source.
IBM/Notes documentation is exhaustive, but also quite useless, not being written with day-to-day situations in mind.
Is there someone who wants to share such a source of information? This is about release 5....

That is far too difficult to answer. Every Notes installation has their own unique set of problems. Even if you look at some of the forums out there for Notes, you will many, many different issues, nothing really consistent.

I can imagine different installations sporting different problems alright, but basically the interface Notes offers to users is the same (just variations in views and forms)

I am not looking for THE set of answers. Anything other people have stored with regard to issues and possible solutions could be valuable.

Drawback of forums like these is that very often you cannot deduce whether a reply has resulted in solving the issue. As you can see I frequently post in tek-tips and majority never take the time to give some feed-back to whether my suggestion has been of any value

Ok, I understand. And in thinking about it a little more, there are "standard" issues that most companies have to deal with: for example storage of note ids on a server and keeping them secure, etc.

You may try SearchDomino. They are always posting white papers, tips, practices and links to other sites.
