shortcuts not openg 1

My shortcuts on my desktop that are not programs will not open the site. They go to the printer screen. I have not, to the best of my knowledge changed any settings. The same sites in My Favorites will open and installed progams shortcuts will open on the desktop.
This just started yesterday, and had worked previously.
Any fixes?
I run XP Pro with SP2.

I would like you to do two things:

. run IEFix, you can checkmark the SFC item in the options boxes:

. Then download, expand, apply, and reboot afterwards:
