Anyone know of an easy way to send the 850 series into standby mode quickly? I don't like that it waits 3 hours after I finish printing to put itself into standby.
Here is what I do, it is not quick but it works, though there must be a better way. Perhaps a script or some command that could be sent to the printer. Any scripting geniuses out there?
I set the Warm-Up setting to "Scheduled".
Next to whatever today is I pick an hour for it to standby and apply it, for example...
Standby
4 AM
I then go and set my printer's clock to 3:59:50
I hit apply and 10 seconds later the printer stands by.
I then go back and return the warm-up settings to
"Idle After Timeout"
(I don't care if my printer's time is correct so I don't change that back)
Incredible that there is not a front panel button or at least a menu item to accomplish this.
