Till yesterday, I used to type the name of the site and then hit "Control+Enter". This used to take me to the website by adding " in the beginning and ".com" in the end. Today, I cannot do it; if i do that, a search page opens and gives a list of various possible links.

What search page? Is it consistent in its appearance?

I ask because you've probably picked up a browser hijacker. Google search for AdAware or SpyBot and download...run and clean your pc. Post back if problem persists.

Thanks Carr, Spybot did the trick.

Agreed, great tip
Spybot done the job for me, thnx again!

Please help. I have the same problem but Spybot did not fix the problem(I deleted all the red on the Spybot search). My browser is IE 6.0 and homepage is when I type in aol, then crtl + enter, it will take me to yahoo search page. The crtl + enter shortcut used to work until few weeks ago.
