In the command line of AutoCAD I can execute the command copy by simple typing “c” and pressing enter.

So this is some kind of shortcut key for the command copy.

There are lots of other shortcut keys.

My question is where can I change this shortcut keys? Is there any kind of file where they are defined?

Thanks

If you have the express tools, enter "aliasedit" at the command line.

Hi,

If you don't have Express Tools, you'll need to edit the current ACAD.pgp, which can be found in the Support files of AutoCAD, or if you have 2004, then use Tools >> Customize >> Edit Custom Files >> Program Parameters (acad.pgp)..

The only trouble with using C as a shortcut, is that C is the default shortcut for Circle, so unless you change that as well, there will be a command conflict..

Anyway, by default, the shortcuts for the Copy command are CO and CP..
