Shortcut for Typing a Code

Hi, in our PABX system (Unify OpenScape Hipath 4000 V7), we use a code (*4) to change/use the APIN1 of a number that has an access for external calls.

Example: we dial *4 + 4444 (station with access to external calls, e.g. mobile)

*4 + 4444 # PIN # then a dial tone is heard.

Is there a way to simplify this setup?

Say, just lift the phone and put in the PIN before dialing any extension.

Or at least just simplify the way of keying in the PIN, by not dialing
*4 4444# PIN #

In our PABX, we have the regen for ADD-WABE:*4,,,APIN1,N,,,,,,,,;

Add in a FLOAT analog extension with the LCOSV access level that you want to give when the end user dials the access code.
Example: 7777
ADD-SCSU:7777,,ANATE,0,0,6,1,8,1,8,1,0,1,0,30,,,SUFDIAL,VAR,,,,ENGLISH,FLOAT,,NO,,,,0,,YES,NO,0,;

Add in PERSI PINS for it
CHANGE-PERSI:TYPE=SYS,PIN1LEN=3;
ADD-PERSI:TYPE=STN,STNO=1777,PINC="079",COSXCD="079",PIN1="079",PININDIV=YES;

Then Dial *4 079 then the outside line access code example 9 then the long distance/international number

*40799xxxxxx etc

What is a FLOAT Analog extension? Is that a way so I can stop wasting analog PENs for night service numbers??

Float numbers are not counted in CODEW

They are mostly used for to forward a number to another destination, but can be used as above as an extension that has PIN numbers associated with it to dial out using that extensions abilities.

I am not so sure about the Night Service setup but give it a try !
