I need to know where I screwed up. I was tasked with creating two hunt groups today on the Avaya BCM50. After adding the DNs to the HGs the shortcut buttons on the handsets were reassigned to the HGs and I am not allowed to change the shortcut keys back to the previous settings. How can reassign the shortcut keys?

What do you mean you are not allowed to add the shortcut buttons?
If you mean the hg button won't allow you to change it back to whatever your original button was.
Then you need to make the DN to be ring only , not appear and ring,as default.
This will free up the button and allow you to reprogrammed the shortcut button back

You cannot program over top of a line or HG. Program your HG as appear only instead of appear and ring. Program it as ring only and your option to set up your buttons will come back.
