I have just installed Office 2003 on our company's XP machines, only to find that it doesnt have a shortcut bar!
Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can configure it so people can access program shortcuts from anywhere, not just on the desktop, perhaps a tweak of the Taskbar?

Why not add it to the Quick Launch, or just ceat a New Toolbar yourself and put it anywhere you want.
To do so, right clik the taskbar and select Toolbars - New Toolbar. Drag the Icons you want in there, that's all.

That seems to be the most viable resolution. Though no fan of it personally, I'm surprised that they left the toolbar out of 2003.

There was a good reason for it, it consumed too much memory for what it was doing.

Absolutely.
That's why I was never a fan of it.

But with the level of user dependency on it, one would've thought...
