hi guys

just wondering if it is possible to use a shortcode to dial another shortcode.

e.g. *99 dials *53*N#

so that callpickup memebers instead of the user dialling *53*N# they can dial *99 and the system will dial the shortcode *53*N#

Sorry if that confusing. Basically want a shortocde to dial anotehr shortcode!!!

If possible how would this be done

Many Thanks

Simon

there is no point of doing that with this shortcode
they still need to dail the N (number)
i never tried to do this but i would not recommend it

Put the pones you need to pick up in a group and assign a group pick up button or short code.

what bob means is create a series of shortcodes like below

SC: *99
Tn: 500 (or whatever your group of exts is)
Feature: CallPickupMembers

I don't believe that a shortcode can dial another shortcode, likely because it's much more streamlined to simply modify original or create a new shortcode with appropriate feature. For example, if you don't like *53*N#, you could modify to *53XXX (assuming using 3-digit fixed length extension numbers) instead. Or make *99XXX if you don't like *53...

Why dial a shortcode that dials another one?

Why not just dial the first one!!!!

Just modify the default s/c or create a new one to do what you want.
