Hi everyone

Hoping you can help. Customer has a IPO 500 V2 with 9611G handsets and SIP trunks.
They would like to withold their number by either dialling a shortcode or pressing a button that allows them to withold their CLI. Obviously going into the menu settings is too much of an ask for these people so I'm hopping their is a better soulution. Any ideas?

Thanks

You can use the W in shortcode to set witheld on SIP trunk as well as ISDN.

You probably need to set the trunk to "Send From In Clear" on the SIP trunks SIP Advanced tab so the service provider can identify the call for billing.

For example
Shortcode: *99N;
Feature: Dial
Telephone Number: NW

Hi janni78

Thanks for the reply. I'll try this tomorrow. I was under impression that W part would only work on ISDN and not SIP. I'll keep you informed.

Thanks.

The W witholds the number via the system and not the line (like using 141 in the UK to withhold your number at network level)

Not all SIP providers are made the same, and sometimes the withold from the system wont work as they send CLI from different fields in the contact header.
