In the user shortcodes for the users in question, duplicate the PSTN dial shortcodes but add s<number>. For example, in North America, add the following user shortcode:
SC: [9]N;
TN: Ns<insert did number here including area code>
LG: your PRI line
F: Dial
Thanks, but I have tried that and I get 'unobtainable' when I try to dial out. Isn't there a ; after the TN? I have had little training on the phones. I am not sure what the PRI line is.. on the main shortcode it is LG 5. For long distance it is 1. I have tried 0 and 5 and still get unobtainable. Thanks for the help.
If your long distance carrier doesn't have the DID numbers in question registered on the PRI, they will deny the call. You can test by using Peter's shortcode and placing the main number in place of the DID number. If that works, and it doesn't work with the DID number in that entry, you know the long disctance carrier doesn't have that DID registered on the PRI. Just another thing to check.
also, Peter's shortcode will work for local calls, so change your LG to 5. If it is a PRI, you may have to change your Feature to Dial 3k1 as well. Dial works with POTS lines, but not with a PRI usually.
You will then need an additional short code for ld. This will be [9]1N; with Tn: 1Ns<DID> and LG: 1 and Feature Dial 3k1.
when using dial 3k1, are you adding the telephone number 1Nsxxxxxxxxxx to the shortcode (where the x's stand for the DID number)? or did you leave it 1Ns?
