Anybody have an idea what this is for?

It switches the modem on the first analog trunk port on/off. Meant for the SOE, don't know if it has the same effect on other systems.

Thanks!! Interesting that it is loaded by default on 3.0 upgrades.

It's on every 2.1 system. What I love most about it is when you launch the wizard it shows up as an invalid short code during the validation process.

Life's better than that, a new or defaulted IP Office control unit uses its own mac address as a default system name. The wizard regards that as invalid also, so the very first thing you have when you use the wizard to configure a brand new system is an error message - not the best way to make people new to the product feel confident.
