Does anyone out there have any specfics on how to use SIP Trunks to Connect our ShoreTel switches to our Nortel CS1000? We currently use a dual T1 connection (S/T T1K's to N/T PRI's which works fine), but I purchased SIP Trunk licenses on both systems to test with so I can move ahead in technology. Our vendor is new to ShoreTel and really doesnt have the experience.

Any tips, how tos, configs, or general comments would be appreciated.

I have heard of it working without the Insiparator but I can't find any specifics. I will keep looking. Shoretel's position is to use the Insiparator to bridge the two systems together. This is also the device they recommend for doing a SIP connection to your carrier.

Again, I know some people have gotten it to work by trial and error, but I don't know specifics or if what the features that actually worked were. Hopefully at some point there will be a standard SIP profile out there at some point.
