Shoretel IP420G and Plantronics CS540

I installed a CS540 on a Shoretel IP420G. But I couldn't get the headset to automatically get a dial tone when pressing the Plantronics headset. I have to manually press the headset key on the phone. How do I access the setting on the phone so I change it?

Have you checked the Automatic Off-Hook Preference in the user>Personal Options section in Director?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Can you access that from the phone? Or you have to login to the system?

Found the answer on Youtube. Need to call the IT who maintains the phone system to make the change.
