hat is the best type of code (Java, C++, etc.) that I should use to add to/create a shopping cart for a web site?

What books are available for this info/code.

Thanks

That really depends on who you ask -- I'm a vbScript/ASP person, but it's all just a matter of choice, really.

As far as books go, just buy anything published by WROX press, and you'll be good to go.

good luck! :)

I do all my cgi programming in perl, so obviously that gets my vote. I don't know if it's worth your time and effort to write your own shopping cart though. That can be a pretty complicate job. Why don't you check some of the script sites and see if you can find a free or cheap one to use. My vote is EDatCat ( but it's not cheap.
