Anyone know of a good (free) shopping cart framework I can build on to create a custom shopping cart for a client? All the ones I've seen so far have been crap. I don't have the time (or the ability) to write one completely from scratch, and all the carts I've seen so far have been so specific that I'd have to virtually rewrite them anyway to get them to work for me.

Essentially I need something where I can have however many fields I like, whatever tables I like (customer is supplying a pre-built database and wants to update it themselves) etc.

If anyone knows of such a thing, or even if such a thing exists, could someone please tell me? I'm getting nowhere fast here.

Anything free you start with will have major modifications if you have that much customization...better off starting from scratch and building what they really want. There are a couple of examples on MSDN and around to get ideas from & get started but generally I end up writing most of the code for a client in this situation.
