I wish to move from a POP to SF environment.
Problem: When I start up the shop floor module in system manager my purchase order module which is currently in use locks up.
All I was able to get from help is that PO links to SF to assign job# to PO's for tracking. So the probable cause of my situation is that PO and SF were not activated at the same time.
Anyone have ideas on how to get around this???
As painless as possible please!
Allen

When you say your PO module "locks up", what exactly do you mean by this? Are you getting error messages? If so please post them to this forum.

If you are not getting error messages please explain what is happening to make you say that this module "locks up".

The PO module will not open at all,
the system message is "Opening Procedure Failed

Go to PO, maintain, PO setup and tab through all the fields to make sur ethe setup is done.

If this does not work, go to setup off all modules currently installed and do the same thing.

If this does not help, please post back.

Don's right - the "Opening Procedure Failed" message is nearly always caused by the setup info. not being present for a module. It doesn't always have to be for the module you're trying to open either i.e. OE depends on IM, AR etc. - OE would give this message if the IM or AR setup wasn't done.

Make sure you have activated the MCA module as this is a requirement for SFC.

You also need to initialize the mfg setup files & enter calendars, etc as well as the SFC & MCA setups after initializing those files.
