I need to increase th shmmax parameter to 2MB from it's current size of 524,288 for other software to work. I have SCO/Unix Open Server Enterprise 5.06a.
I was told to do: /etc/conf/bin/idtune -f shmmax 2000000
and then rebuild the kernal by
/etc/conf/cf.d/link_unix
This was from
I get no errors when I enter the first command; but when I try to rebuild the kernal I get:
ERROR: Unknown tuneable parameter shmmax
FATAL ERROR: Error encountered. Configuration terminated.
Thanks.
